A comparative analysis of Czech and Slovak librarian periodicals

(anglicky): The subject of the my thesis are Czech and Slovak periodicals in the field of library and information science - their concise history, determination of the current terminology in this field and publishing work, description of the editorial staff and the roles of its members, reviewing procedure and editorial work applied to specific examples of both printed and electronic media, specification of formal appurtenances of a specialized article, citation and information ethics. The following chapter deals with the characteristics of the current specialized periodicals issued in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The research oriented part focuses upon the topical analysis of library periodicals, further the results of two questionnaires relating to editorial work are discussed as well as various preparatory stages of a specialized periodical.
